There were more than 500 of them, clad in outrageous attire - like tall blue hats; some had big red noses and wore face paint. It was the commencement of the 13th Annual International Clown Convention. And it opened Wednesday, in Mexico City.

There were clowns from all over central America, the U.S, and Puerto Rico. Not only is the convention about showcasing their talents, it's for trading ideas and learning new clowning skills.
