National Day, a holiday that is celebrated for a week here in China, is coming fast. It's the last long holiday of the year, and plane tickets have been getting more expensive for travel during Golden Week. Industry insiders are suggesting travelers avoid the peak period of Sunday through Tuesday.
For flights departing on or after Sunday, September 28th, prices from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to Sanya, Guilin and Xiamen have risen 30 percent. And tickets to hot travel destinations on Monday the 29th are being sold at full price; there is no discount.
