Seven years ago, Beijing promised to use 37 competition venues during the Olympic Games, including 22 new construction ones and 5 renovation ones. Finally,according to the consideration of environmental protection and use after the Games,the government decided to reduce the number of venues to 31, and the new construction ones also reduce to 12.

Seven years ago, Beijing promised to increase the star level hotels to 800 before 2008. Today,the number has already increased to 816.

"Volunteers" were a little bit strange for Beijing people seven years ago; but today, one million volunteers are working in Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games.

The past seven years, Beijing has already finished each promise to the world. Being the host city of Olympic Games, Beijing has tried its best to give everyone a perfect, unforgetable and successful Olympic Games.
