The Olympic torch relay begins a three-day journey across the Chinese capital of Beijing on Wednesday. Organizers have announced the route and the names of the torch bearers for the final leg of the Olympic Flame's journey.
The nearly 40-kilometer run will get underway on Wednesday, covering all 18 districts and counties as well as Beijing's Economic and Technological Development Area.
During the first two days of the run, the torch will tour through several districts in town as well as areas on the outskirts of Beijing.
And finally, at noon on Friday, the torch will be taken from the 2008 Olympic Youth Camp at the 101 Middle School to the National Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the Games.
