SriLankan Airlines has recruited four Chinese Customer Liaison Agents to provide greater customer service to the Chinese market as part of its China growth strategy.
Sri Lanka' s tourism arrivals from China experienced a growth of 7.3% in the first half of 2008 and with this trend forecast to increase, SriLankan Airlines says it is committed to build on its quality customer service to provide a warm welcome and greater convenience for all Chinese customers.
The four Chinese Customer Liaison Agents will be based out of Colombo and will work on the direct flight between Beijing and Colombo. The flights to Beijing operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, using Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft.
SriLankan also has three weekly services to Hong Kong using A330 and A340 aircraft. The fleet has a two-class system with business and economy classes. Both classes are equipped with an 18-channel seat-back television, 22-channels of audio and 16 video games in all seats, with business class having a choice of videos as well.
The airline hopes to position Sri Lanka as a destination of choice for China' s travelers enhancing its customer service.
