Russia will decorate its pavilion for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo like a fairy-tale panorama. On Tuesday, Russia unveiled its design with the theme "New Russia: City and Citizen." Most of the pavilions have now published their layouts and started construction.
The Russian expo pavilion will be built on a 6,000-square-meter plot. It is composed of three elements including twelve white towers, a cube floating in the air and internal facilities. In the daytime, the moveable cube is a sight in itself, changing to show a painting. At night, it has another surprise.
V.P. Strashko, Russian Deputy, said, "The layout demonstrates the diversity of Russia. It also shows Russian people's understanding of modern society."
