The Chinese Table Tennis Super League has entered its seventh
round after a two week break.
Defending champion Shaanxi scored an easy 3-0 win over Ningbo
for their sixth victory in the men's group matches.
Left-hander Hao Shuai opened the scoring for Shaanxi by beating
former world number one Kong Linghui 11-6, 11-4, 5-11 and 11-9 in
the first singles clash.
Shaanxi's winning streak continued when world champion Ma Lin
outwitted Chen Jian 11-4, 11-4, 9-11 and 11-5.
Ma Lin teamed up with Gao Lize in the doubles event to earn
Shaanxi their third point with a 3-1 win over Chen Jian and Tang
Peng.
Imported South Korean player Rye Seung-min helped home team
Sichuan defeat Beijing 3-2. Chuan Chih-yuan of Chinese Taipei led
Jiangsu to beat Liaoning 3-1 and Wuxi outscored Haining 3-2.
In the women's group matches, 2005 champion Shandong joined Bayi
and Jiangsu to harvest a 3-0 home victory, while Sichuan upset the
second-ranked Hebei 3-1.
