China took a clean sweep of all the four gold medals at the Volkswagen Open table tennis championships in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province.

Ma Lin took revenge on world top player Wang Liqin in a replay of the world championships final.

Ma, at his brilliant best, outplayed Wang 11-8, 11-2 and 11-4 in an all-Chinese victory.

Despite his loss in singles, Wang Liqin teamed up with senior teammate Chen Qi to win the double's title.

The pair recovered from an early deficit to beat fellow Chinese Hao Shuai and Ma Lin 7-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-4 and 11-6.

In the women's competitions, world champion Wang Nan edged past her teammate Guo Yue 7-11, 6-11, 12-10, 11-3, 11-9 and 11-8 for the singles trophy.

Wang joined world number one Zhang Yining to win the doubles crown with a 4-2 victory over their compatriots Guo Yue and Li Xiaoxia.
