Goals from Li Jinyu and Zhao Haibin put Shandong nine points
clear at the top of the China Super League as Changchun Yatai went
down at home to Shanghai Shenhua in Round 16.
Striker Li netted his 13th goal of the CSL season after
midfielder Zhou's opener as Shandong overcame Xiamen Lanshi 2-0 in
Jinan to seal their 11th win of the season. Up in the Dongbei
region Honduran forward Luis Alfredo Ramirez notched his 7th of the
campaign to give Shenhua a 1-0 win over second-placed
Changchun.
Former Harbin Guoli midfielder Wang Changqing struck a
second-half winner as Beijing Guo'an recorded a 1-0 home victory
against Qingdao to move level on points with Changchun.
Tianjin Teda climb three points above Dalian Shide, who rested
in Round 16, with a 2-0 win against Shenzhen Kingway, with Agbo and
Mao Biao grabbing second-half goals.
Shenyang Ginde's first match since the return of their Chinese
Olympics team youngsters finished in defeat as Rong Hao scored a
9th-minute winner to give Wuhan Guanggu their fourth victory of the
season.
The win moves Wuhan up to ninth place above Shanghai United FC,
who were held to a 1-1 draw by Xi'an Chanba. Ironically, ex-Wuhan
striker Vicente scored a last-minute equaliser for the Terracotta
Army side to cancel out Qu Shaoyan's first-half opener.
