Li Jinyu put four past his ex-team as Shandong thrashed Liaoning
5-0 in CSL Round 14, but newly promoted Changchun remain three
points behind the leaders thanks to a 4-1 win over Beijing.
National team striker Li ran riot at the Fushun Leifeng Stadium,
scoring four before Gao Yao's fifth on 58 minutes. But goals from
Elvis Scott, Tang Jing, Ka Ba Lei Luo and Cao Tianbao gave
Changchun a comfortable victory over Beijing which puts the Dongbei
side six points clear of their capital rivals.
Dalian Shide failed to bounce back from their midweek Asian
Champions League exit, losing 2-1 at home to Shanghai Shenhua in
the tie of the round. Luis Alfredo Ramirez grabbed a late winner
after Zou Jie cancelled out Du Wei's opener, to move fifth-placed
Shenhua within a point of their arch rivals.
Shenhua failed to register German import Carsten Jancker in time
for Sunday's clash, but the former Bayern Munich striker should be
available to play in Thursday's home match against Liaoning.
Tianjin Teda defender Cao Yang hit a brace at Qingdao Zhongneng
but Shi Hanjun scored a last-minute winner to move the home side
out of the drop zone. Shenzhen Kingway move level on points with
Tianjin thanks to a 1-0 home win over Wuhan.
Brazilian forward Vicente scored in the 89th minute to give
Xi'an Chanba a 1-0 win at Xiamen and move Chen Yaodong's team into
eighth place above Shanghai United and Shenyang Ginde, whose Round
14 tie has been postponed to 4 August.
