Shandong Luneng succeeded to keep their soaring form as the most
competitive squad in the Chinese Super League nailed dark horse
Changchun Yatai with 2 nil in the 15th round.
Goals from Shu Chang and Han Peng helped the home Shandong side
get an upper hand early in the game, while playmaker Du Zhenyu's
absence made the just-promoted Changchun team hardly pose a
threat.
The loss also enlarged the gap to six points between the tally
leader Shandong and the second-placed Changchun, which had only
seven against-goals before the duel.
In other matches, Beijing beat Xiamen 1-0, Chongqing overcame
Dalian 1-0, Xi'an held off Qingdao 2-1 and Tianjin triumphed over
Shanghai Liancheng 3-1.
