It looks likely that Mourinho will win La Liga with Real, and a possible Champions League final appearance will keep the demanding Los Blancos happy. Mourinho has a taste for big club action, which will likely seem him wait for his friend Sir Alex Ferguson to retire from the United hot seat, having given him time to fulfill his ambition of winning a third Champions League trophy with United. Whatever happens next season at Real, Mourinho would go to Manchester United with his huge reputation intact, and many see him as the only manager capable of building on Ferguson’s incredible success. Money is not the primary motive for Mourinho, and United could be the biggest challenge left in club football for the man to whom a challenge is as good as an invitation.
