The 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championship continues with the third day of games on Monday at two venues in the Turkish cities of Istanbul and Kayseri.

Among Monday's highlights will be the encounter between the United States and Brazil at the Abdi Ipekci Arena in Istanbul.

Turkey defeated Russia 65-56 in its second game in Group C in Ankara on Sunday, following its first 86-47 win over Cote d'Ivoire, leading Group C.

Coach Bogdan Tanjevic said that Turkey played a good game in general against Russia and it won the match thanks to its successful defense.

Tanjevic said his team had displayed a similar performance in both of its games so far, adding "we were good in defense and we won."

On Turkey's victory, player Hidayet Turkoglu said that the Turkish team's goal was clear and it took every team seriously.

Meanwhile, Russian coach David Blatt said his players were faced with a very strong team, adding they lost the match as they took wrong decisions at critical moments.

In the game between Australia and Argentina in central province of Kayseri on Sunday, Australian coach Brett Brown said that 3-pointers of Argentina were devastating for Australia, adding that their rivals were experienced and Australia could not respond the same way.

Argentina's coach Sergio Hernandez said Australia was also improving as his team, whereas player Carlos Delfino said Australia was a challenging rival.

Argentina defeated Australia 74-72 to lead Group A of the championship at the end of second-day games.
