Slovenia readily beat Tunisia, deemed the weakest team of group B, by a comfortable 24 points, ending the game with a score of 80-56.
Slovenia, with two NBA players on its roster, maintained its lead during all four quarters of the game, ahead of a weak Tunisia with no NBA players.
Slovenia's Goran Dragic, who plays in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns, was the high-scorer of the game, totaling 16 points, including 1 three-pointer and 3 free-throws.
Gaspar Vidmar and Bostjan Nachbar followed Dragic with 15 and 14 points respectively.
Tunisia's Radhouane Slimane scored the highest for his team with 11 points.
The afternoon game took place at the Abdi Ipekci Arena in Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district on the European side.
