The Philadelphia 76ers have hired TV analyst Doug Collins as their coach, the team announced on Friday.
This is Collins' fourth stint as an NBA coach, who went 332-287 in coaching Chicago, Detroit and Washington. The 76ers made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 1973 draft, and he played eight seasons with them.
Team President Ed Stefanski interviewed Collins on May 1 and reached an four-year deal to replace the fired Eddie Jordan.
