The Washington Wizards won the NBA draft lottery in Secaucus, New Jersey on Tuesday to grab the number one overall pick.
The Wizards (26-56), who had a 10.3 percent chance of winning the top pick in next month's draft, upset the New Jersey Nets, who had a 25 percent chance.
For the sixth-straight year, the team with the worst record won't be picking first. The Nets are to pick third as they also were hurdled by the Philadelphia 76ers (27-55), which had a 6.03-per-cent chance of getting the second pick.
