Bolivia finished Brazil's 19 matches unbeaten run with a 2-1 win in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

Brazil has already qualified for the World Cup finals in South Africa next year while Bolivia was eliminated before Sunday's match.

Bolivia went ahead after 10 minutes when midfielder Edgar Olivares headed home at a corner.

They doubled their lead on the half hour with a fine free kick by striker Marcelo Martins, who curled the ball over a wall of Brazilian defenders and past the static Julio Cesar.

The Brazilians pulled one back 21 minutes from time when right back Maicon crossed from the right wing for Nilmar to head in.

Brazil is at home to Venezuela, who is all but out of the running for the finals, in their final qualifier on Wednesday.

Bolivia faces Peru in Lima on Wednesday. Bolivia has 15 points to Peru's 10.
