Wang Xiaogang was born in 1975 and began to study photography in 1996. He began to take pictures of people and social life around him in 2005. He published the personal photography collection "Nothing to do with the City" in 2009.

 

Wang Xiaogang's photos are nuggets of time and history of Jin city, a middle-sized industrial city in central China. “Inside and Outside the City" records the political, historical, cultural, economic and social images of a typical Chinese city. If all pieces of every city could be collected, a panorama of China in the 21st century would be created. (curator: Zeng Huang)
