Photographer Wang Weiqing records the living rooms of many families with his 360o tilting-head camera. His pictures reveal the artistic violence committed by commercial power in private spaces. Wang choose families randomly and every host is trying hard to show their "unique" taste. But the result is shocking because the rooms people think of as unique are actually all the same. An important point in Wang's pictures is the fact every family places their TV set in the centre. The TV is a tool of visual violence that persuades people to participate in a game of acquiescence and mimicry. Wang's work reminds people to be alert to the lies in their living rooms.
