The Netherlands defeated China 8-1 in their final preliminary match of the Olympic Football 7-a-Side tournament on Friday.
It only took Hendrikus van Kempen one minute to open the score for the Netherlands before Martijn van de Ven scored his second goal of the tournament after nine minutes.
Chinese goalkeeper Li Chuan stopped a powerful long-range shot from Johannes Swinkels, but he couldn't prevent Van Kempen from scoring his second goal of the match in the 20th minute.
Two minutes later, Thieu Van Son worked well with Van De Ven and made it 4-0 for the Netherlands.
The local crowd erupted when Liu Bo scored China's only goal of the match and its first goal of the tournament.
Only one minute later, Liu couldn't stop Van Kempen from scoring a hat-trick and giving the Netherlands a 5-1 lead before half-time.
Hard-working Dutch forward, Swinkels, scored soon after the start of the second half.
Van Kempen scored his fourth goal of the day and made it 7-1 for the Netherlands.
Swinkels scored the final goal of the match, ensuring that the Netherlands beat China 8-1.
The Netherlands and China will both play in the Classification 5-8 matches on September 14.
