Iran defeated Great Britain 3-0 in a pool B match on Wednesday in the Paralympic Football 7-a-Side tournament.

Iran dominated the match with good control of the ball. Moslem Akbari scored the opener for Iran just three minutes into the match.

Abdolreza Karimzadeh contributed another goal to extend Iran's lead to 2-0.

Not long after, Karimzadeh scored his second goal, which helped Iran to finish with a 3-0 win.

In the other pool B match, Ukraine overwhelmed Ireland with a 7-0 victory.

Goals from Ivan Shkvarlo established Ukraine's initial 2-0 lead. Denys Ponomaryov helped extend the lead after taking advantage of a deflection from Irish player Paul Dollard.

Ponomaryov scored his second goal of the match after collecting a pass from Shkvarlo.

Shkvarlo finished his hat trick seven minutes into the second half. But the Ukrainians were not satisfied with five goals. Taras Dutko and Oleksandr Devlysh added two more goals respectively in the 40th and 49th minutes, and finished the one-sided match 7-0.

After two rounds, Iran and Ukraine have both colleted enough points to go to the semifinals, even though there is one more round to go. The two teams will go head-to-head on Friday to decide who will top pool B.
