Spain's Sports Minister Jaime Lissavetzky said on Wednesday he was "hopeful" for the environment inside the nation selection, which he considered of "great quality."
Lissavetzky traveled Wednesday to Beijing with the rest of the Spain's Olympic delegation. Before boarding the plane, he said the "the Games have been organized very well and that we go with the task very well done by the sportsmen and federations."
However, Lissavetzky said that "the final exam will be difficult (..) But the Spanish team will give everything and will have the proud to compete and doing it fine for Spain."
Lissavetzky also made reference to the "excitement" in Beijing for the presence of Rafa Nadal or Pau Gasol, and the existence "of world number one" like Javier Gomez Noya.
"I don't want to leave anything and nobody. We have many options, more than ever, in medals and diplomas. I'm convinced we will get good results, but we should not forget that also there is the lucky point," Lissavetzky said.
