The court 2 in the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium was totally controlled by the No.2 seed, who didn't leave any chance for the 25-year-old Korean, securing her victory at 21-11, 21-12.
"Now I am full of confidence. I will crush whoever wants to play a full match against me in the third game," said the 33-year-old veteran.
On her opponent, Zhang said that the 11th-ranked Korean was defeated by her own injuries which kept her out of competitions for about five months.
"Her footwork is not as good as Salakjit Ponsana" from Thailand, who posed a tough challenge to the defending champion in her first match yesterday, but gave her a good chance to warm up.
