Singaporean shuttler Ronald Susilo, nicknamed "giant killer" for his stunning defeat of top seed Lin Dan from China in his first match at the Athens Olympics, hoped to reproduce the victory by downing No. 2 seed Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia.
"I hope so," said the Indonesia-born player when asked of whether he can act as a dark horse again at the Beijing Olympics Thursday.
"I'm confident in my own game," claimed the world No. 32 while boasting some recognizable victories over best shuttlers in recent years. "I have won twice and lost twice against Chong Wei."
Pitted against the world No. 2 men's singles player in the second round afte a first-round bye, Susilo admitted that it would be a hard fight.
The 29-year-old, however, said that he is in the same good form when compared with four years ago, but with more experiences.
The much-anticipated clash between Susilo and Lee Chong Wei will be shown at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium on August 11.
