Bar behind bars

Mexico federal and local authorities Monday discovered a bar behind bars at a prison workshop in the northern state of Chihauhua, CBS news reported. Among the items seized were three guns, 200 beer cans, 12 bottles of tequila, 20 bottles of vodka, 20 cell phones, marijuana and heroin.

Jorge Chaires, a spokesman for the Chihuahua state prosecutor's office said the deputy director of the prison was fired after police discovered the bar.

The government had originally encouraged prisoners to acquire skills at the workshop. It was surprised to find they had taken advantage of the opportunity to open a prison bar.

墨在押人员狱内偷开酒吧

       美国哥伦比亚广播公司消息，墨西哥北部奇瓦瓦州联邦警察和地方执法人员23日在一监狱车间内发现“地下酒吧”，共查获20瓶伏特加、12瓶龙舌兰、200听啤酒、3把枪、20部手机以及大麻和海洛因。

       奇瓦瓦州检方发言人豪尔赫•德谢尔说，“地下酒吧”被发现后，这所监狱的副主管已遭解职。

       监狱向在押人员提供车间，原本期望他们学一门手艺，不料他们利用这一场地偷偷开起了酒吧。
