Thousands of anti-government protesters led by the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) have blocked all the gates of the Parliament Complex in Bangkok, continuing their demanding for the Parliament to stop amending the Charter.
At 8:00 a.m. (0100 GMT), the protesters succeeded in marching to the front of the Parliament after breaking several police defense lines. All the police have retreated and were stationed inside the compound.
Sooner after arriving the Parliament, the PAD protesters blocked all the gates of the Parliament.
The traffic on roads around Parliament were paralyzed because of the demonstration.
The national NBT TV said the power supply inside the Parliament was cut by the PAD.
The PAD, which has seized the Government House since Aug. 26, vowed to hold a so-called D-Day mass demonstration around the Parliament building on Monday since the Parliament will open its annual joint meeting on the same day.
