Adjust font size:

Thailand's Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat Thursday ordered Bangkok police to speed up finding and arresting those who carried out a grenade attack against the anti- government Peoples Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protest site in Bangkok's Makhawan Rangsan Bridge.

Somchai ordered higher security at Makhawan Rangsan Bridge.

Somchai said that he was briefed by national police chief Pol. Gen. Patcharawat Wongsuwan about the incident. He instructed the police to speed up investigation to find those responsible bombers so that they might be punished.

Speaking about the explosion at the home of Constitution Court judge Jaral Pakdeethanakul early Thursday, Somchai said that he ordered the police to arrange special teams to provide security at house of all constitution court judges.

Justice Jaral is involved in the rulings against former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

Six volunteer security guards were injured from a grenade thrown at PAD rallysite at Bangkok's Makawan Rangsan Bridge near the Government House early Thursday.
