Adjust font size:

Chinese President Hu Jintao left the Senegalese capital of Dakar Saturday for Tanzania after concluding a state visit to Senegal, the third leg of his five-nation trip.

Hu, who arrived in Dakar Friday, had talks with his Senegalese counterpart Abdoulaye Wade on consolidation of friendship and expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

The two leaders agreed to enhance pragmatic cooperation in all sectors, and strengthen coordination in dealing with major world and regional issues.

During the visit, the two countries signed several cooperation documents.

The Chinese and Senegalese peoples enjoy traditional friendship. The resumption of diplomatic ties between China and Senegal in October 2005 opened a new page in bilateral relations. In the past three years, exchange of visits at various levels have increased step by step, and cooperation in all fields has been enlarged constantly.

Apart from Senegal and Tanzania, Hu will also visit Mauritius. He has already visited Saudi Arabia and Mali.
