Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan met in Beijing Monday afternoon
with visiting General Inspector of Moroccan royal armed forces
Abdelaziz Bennani, pledging to strengthen cooperation between the
two armed forces.
Cao, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and
state councilor, said China hopes to strengthen its cooperation
with morocco in various fields, including military training and
technologies.
He noted that China attaches great importance to the deep
traditional friendship between the two countries and the two
peoples.
Bennani said he is glad to see that the existing deep friendship
between the two armed forces is further developing and he hopes the
two sides will become important partners of each other, adding
Moroccan armed forces will further promote cooperation with the
Chinese side.
Before meeting with Cao, Bennani also held talks with Liang
Guanglie, a member of the Central Military Commission and chief of
the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
The two exchanged views on further promoting exchanges and
cooperation between the two armed forces in various areas,
according to the Chinese Defense Ministry.
Bennani started his one-week official visit to China on Friday
at the invitation of Liang.
