Former Shanghai Official Appointed Vice Governor of Hainan

Jiang Sixian, former head of Shanghai Organization Department of the CPC, was appointed vice governor of the southern island province of Hainan on Friday.

 

Jiang, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, was appointed at the 26th session of the Standing Committee of the 3rd Hainan Provincial People's Congress.

 

He has also served as vice mayor of Shanghai and head of Putong New Area.

 

Jiang, 52 and native of Jiangdu City, eastern province of Jiangsu, received a Master's degree in Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1985.
