The central government, appointed Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun to be
Hong Kong's new commissioner of Independent Commission against
Corruption.
Mrs. Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun, born in 1953, replaces Raymond Wong
Hung-chiu as Hong Kong's top anti-corruption official with the
nomination of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief
Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen.
Donald Tsang said, in a speech delivered on Tuesday, he believes
the new commissioner is capable of keeping Hong Kong one of the
cleanest places in the world.
Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun used to serve as Permanent Secretary of
the Education and Manpower Bureau of Hong Kong SAR Government since
July 2002.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong SAR government appointed Raymond Wong
Hung-chiu to be Permanent Secretary for Education and Manpower on
Tuesday.
