Non-communist Parties Asked to Help Fight SARS

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has urged non-communist parties and individuals to devote themselves to the anti-SARS campaign.

Jia, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, called for full multi-party cooperation during the campaign.

He made his remarks during Wednesday's workshop on the SARS fight, which was attended by non-communist party leaders and non-party-affiliated individuals.

In his address, the CPPCC leader thanked these parties and individuals for their contribution to the anti-SARS drive, and urged them to give their expertise and wisdom to help achieve final victory over the epidemic.
