The program called "Less trash, Lower fees" is aimed at reducing the city's total amount of domestic garbage. It will be piloted in selected communities and enterprises, said the Beijing Municipal Administration Commission (BJMAC), during a working conference held on Tuesday.
The specific charging standard is not available, said the report.
This year, Beijing will set up hotlines for residents who want to have convenient service of recyclable garbage collection. Just a phone call, workers will come to your home and remove recyclable disposals on demand, said the vice director of BJMAC Chen Ling.
Now, residents in Beijing have to take their trash to certain facilities to dispose.
