10. Mount Qomolangma is the highest mountain on Earth above sea level, and the highest point on the Earth's continental crust. Various kinds of rare and endangered animals inhabit here, including the snow leopard, the lesser panda and so on.

Scientists have claimed that about two thirds of the glaciers here are melting. The melting glaciers may lead to a swift expansion of glacial lakes which would cause some nature disaster including floods and landslides.
