Bjork arrives in Shanghai
Adjust font size:

Icelandic songstress Bjork arrived in Shanghai on Friday, but event organizers warned local media to stay away from the songstress after she had been hounded by reporters in Hong Kong.

Event organizers said Bjork would leave immediately if the media harassed her when she landed at the airport in Shanghai, according to a local news report. Reporters had hounded the singer after she arrived at Hong Kong's airport on Tuesday.

Airport officals in Shanghai arranged special access for Bjork and her entourage so she could avoid reporters and photographers as much as possible.

The songstress was accompanied by two bodyguards, an assistant and her young daughter, according to a report in the Oriental Morning Post. The report quoted someone who works for the concert organizer as saying that she was dressed in a backless viridian jacket, a multicolored scarf and silver trousers.

Bjork will perform in Shanghai on Sunday as part of her world tour promoting her latest album entitled "Volta." The concert will be her last performance in Asia before she flies back to Europe to perform in Manchester, England.
