Bjork will hold her first concert in Shanghai next Sunday at the Shanghai International Gymnastic Center.
The 43-year-old singer and songwriter from Iceland always surprises the public and the media with her new artistic directions, her quirky sense of fashion and her controversial attitudes.
Considered one of the most invididualistic women in the world, Bjork has a lot of fans among celebrities. She wrote the song "Bedtime Story" for Madonna's album but declined the singer's invitation to sing the song with her. Chinese top singer Faye Wong is said to have become popular after imitating Bjork's singing style.
For this concert, Bjork will bring an all-woman band with her and the show will feature advanced technology to match her avant-garde costumes and mis-en-scene on stage.
Ticket prices range from 300 yuan (US$42) to 1,600 yuan.
