1st Guangzhou Modern Art Exhibition - Reinterpretation of Chinese Experimental Art (1990-2000)
Beginning this year, the Guangdong Museum of Art plans to hold triennial large-scale exhibitions to review Guangzhou's modern art scene. The first exhibition reviews the art of the 1990s and features three main themes: Memory and Reality, People and Environment, and Mainland and World. RMB 30

Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Oil, Water-Color and Exhibition of Nan Jing Painting Academy
This fusion exhibition features Chinese contemporary oil paintings, floral themed watercolors, and paintings from the Nan Jing Painting Academy. The academy is famous for its distinctive Hai Pai style. Zheng Wei, the president of the academy, will have his works on display. Free admission.

"Yangzhou Ba Guai" Paintings Collected by Guangzhou Art Museum
Planned to coincide with the Shenzhen Biennial International Water and Inks Exhibition, this event features more than 40 works from Yangzhou Ba Guai, an art school established by eight great painters in Yangzhou during the Qing Dynasty.

Night of the Guangzhou Contemporary Artists
Planned by Guangzhou contemporary artist Jiang Heng, this is an exhibition presenting works of eight Chinese artists including Li Bang Yao, Yang Guo Xin, Shi Lei, Fang Shao Hua, Jiang Heng, Wei Qing Ji, Sun Xiao Feng, Duan Jian Yu. All of the featured artists have been active in experimental art in recent years, both domestically and overseas. Free admission. Call 3758 9257 for more details.
