Millennium & Copthorne International's first mainland China property, the Millennium Hongqiao hotel in Shanghai, opens on August 28.

The 369-room, five-star property is located along Yan An Xi Road, within close proximity to convention and exhibition venues. It is 40 minutes drive from the Pudong International Airport. There are five food and beverage outlets.

The group will open its second China hotel - the Millennium Beijing - in the second quarter of 2008 in time for the Beijing Summer Olympics.
