A decade after China and Thailand signed the first Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Co-operation (MOU) in 1993, exchanges between the two nations have reached an all-time high. Last year, over 600,000 Chinese visitors traveled to Thailand.
China is now Thai travelers’ third favorite destination.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with China National Tourism Administration, has initiated a promotional package under the theme “China-Thailand: the Glorious Combination”.
In addition to promotional programmes, TAT has worked closely with prominent Chinese wholesalers to develop new high quality packages in both the Chinese and Thai market to promote the quality of travel.
In the development of the human resource of tourism, there has been regular exchange of personnel between the two.
