The volume of technology transactions in Beijing in 2002 surpassed 20 billion yuan (US$2.42 Billion), making Beijing the largest technology trading center in China, according to the administrative office of Beijing Technology Market.
Statistics show that the total volume of business for technology contracts in Beijing last year reached 22.1 billion yuan (US$2.66 billion), accounting for one-fourth of the total volume for the country.
