About US$2.39 billion worth of deals were signed at the China Yangling Agricultural High-tech Fair in northwest China's Shaanxi province, which concluded Saturday.
A spokesperson for the five-day fair said the transactions involved technology and farm produce.
A total of 6,500 items of agriculture-related technology, products and investment projects were on offer at the fair, which drew 100 overseas participants from 18 countries and regions, and 700 institutions and companies from 27 provinces, regions and municipalities in China.
About 5,000 experts and one million local farmers visited the fair, said the spokesperson.
The only annual national event of its kind, the fair was held in Yangling in central Shaanxi province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Agriculture and other institutions. Yangling is known as the national base for development of agriculture-related technology.
