Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) met in Beijing Thursday with Antonia Pitra Neto, vice president of the People's Liberation Movement of Angola (PLMA).
Jia spoke highly of the long-term friendly cooperative relationship between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and PLMA, saying that bilateral friendly and cooperative ties have developed comprehensively.
Jia also thanked the Angolan government for its support to China on the Taiwan issue and human rights issue.
He said the CPC and the Chinese government are ready to work with the Angolan side to explore the potential in all fields.
Neto said he appreciated the achievements that China has made since it started up its reform and opening-up in the late 1970s. The Angola side is willing to further the exchanges and cooperation with China, he said. He also thanked China for its support to the reconstruction of Angola.
Neto reiterated the Angolan government adheres to the one-China policy and support China to be reunified at an early date.
Neto, who arrived in Beijing Sunday with six other members of his delegation, is visiting China at the invitation of the CPC.
