The Norwegian police made public on Tuesday the identities and photos of Chinese students Wu Yuhang and Yu Ningyan, who were found dead in an apartment four days ago, and urged the public to call police with information.
The police said the clues they collected so far were not sufficient to solve the case. They publicized the victims' identities and photos in hopes that someone who knew about the inside story could provide clues.
The bodies of the victims were discovered Friday morning in an apartment of the university at which they were studying after Wu's cousin called police. Technical evidence on the scene indicated that the students were murdered a few days earlier, but no valuable clues have been found so far.
The two victims were all from Fuqing city of Fujian Province in Southeast China. They arrived in Norway last September to study in the only musical instrument college of Norway located in Sarpsborg, a small town 100 km southwest of Oslo. Wu moved into the apartment of the university residence in the downtown area of Oslo on Jan. 13.
