China, Vietnam Agree to Expand All-round Cooperation
Adjust font size:

Vice President Zeng Qinghong held talks on Wednesday with Truong Tan Sang, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), vowing to further the relationship and all-round cooperation.

"China and Vietnam should view the relations from the strategic and long-term perspective," Zeng said.

He added that the sound relations, fostered by the leadership of the old generation of the two countries, should be treasured.

China and Vietnam have followed the principles of long-term stability, facing the future, good-neighborliness and all-round cooperation in the recent years and made progress in the development of the bilateral ties, Zeng said.

In the first half of this year, the trade volumes between the two countries hit US$6.67 billion, up 45.9 percent year on year.

"Chinese government and Party value relations with Vietnam and will work with the Vietnamese counterpart to push forward the good-neighborly and cooperative relationship," Zeng said.

Truong Tan Sang said Vietnam and China have enjoyed common interest, and furthering the friendship with China has long been Vietnam's guideline and conformed to the aspiration of the two peoples.

He said Vietnam will cement the cooperation with China in all fields.
