Prince Norodom Ranariddh, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, on Thursday met with visiting Chinese sport delegation headed by Yu Zaiqing, deputy director of China's State General Administration of Sport.
They exchanged views on strengthening the cooperation on sport fields between the two countries.
Ranariddh, also president of the National Assembly, highly valued the remarkable achievement scored by China on the sport, and expressed his belief that the 2008 Olympic Games to be held by China will be success.
He said the royal government is ready to host the 26th Southeastern Asian Games (SEA) in 2011, and hope China's success experience on holding 2008 Olympic Games will greatly help Cambodia to hold SEA in 2011.
He said thanks the political stability, the growing economy and the improvement of people's living standard, Cambodian government and people pay more and more attentions to develop the sports activities.
Yu Zaiqing, also Executive of International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Vice Chairman of Chinese Olympic Committee, said China will boost the cooperation with Cambodia on sports and offer assistance to help Cambodia to hold SEA.
Chinese sport delegation arrived in Phnom Penh on Monday for a four-day visit at the invitation of Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
