More than 60 cultural ministers and other senior government officials from Asia will join renowned personalities in the cultural and creative fields at the Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum or ACCF 2004 next week.
The ACCF 2004, with the theme of "Creative Asia," is the second cultural co-operation forum organized by the Home Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.
The ACCF is held to foster cultural co-operation, share experiences on the development of creative industries, enhance partnership between governments and facilitate and promote private sector initiatives among the participating economies in the region.
Minister of Culture Sun Jiazheng and senior cultural officials from various provinces and municipals joined this year's cultural forum.
On Sunday, Sun met with cultural officials from the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao and said the Chinese mainland is implementing a blanket of measures to strengthen multi-level cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in various areas.
"Cultural industry is an open and floating business chain connecting creativity, productivity and market from different areas, and should be fully used to explore the advantages of different parts of China, to share the advanced Chinese culture with the world," said Patrick Ho, Hong Kong's secretary for home affair.
The ACCF will feature a PRC delegations meeting, an Asian cultural ministers meeting and open forums.
