Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Beijing Thursday with Pierre Mores, president of the Luxembourg Council of State.
Wang said the two countries' bilateral relations have improved during the past 32 years. China and Luxembourg have witnessed an increase in high-level exchange of visits and strengthened cooperation in business and trade, finance, culture and tourism, he said.
Wang said he appreciated Luxembourg's support of China on the Taiwan issue.
He hoped the CPPCC and the Luxembourg Council of State could work together to advance the two countries' exchange and collaboration.
Mores thanked Wang for inviting him to China and spoke highly of the country's development from economic reforms and opening up.
