Chinese State Councilor Zhou Yongkang met in Beijing Tuesday with Shevchenko Victor, head of the institute of security, national defense and justice of Russia, and his party.
Zhou said the Chinese government condemns the recent series terrorist attacks happened in Russia and supports the efforts made by the Russian government to safeguard national unification, territory integrity and the security of people's life and property.
Zhou briefed the guests on the policy that China holds on anti-terrorism and combating the "three forces", namely, terrorism, separatism and extremism, and the cooperation that China has carried out with international society in this regard.
Shevchenko briefed Zhou on the situation about Russia's fight against terrorism and its future plan.
The two sides exchanges views on further cooperation in combating terrorism.
The Russian guests paid the visit to China at the invitation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact.
