Beijing Hosts 4 Major Int'l Educational Forums

Four international educational forums or fairs opened in Beijing Monday with a joint opening ceremony at the Great Hall of the People.  

Before the opening ceremony, Chinese State Councilor Chen Zhili met some guests from both home and abroad participating in the events.

 

The four events include the Education Forum for Asia 2004, Beijing International Education Exposition 2004, the 15th International Meeting of University Administrators and the First Beijing Academy Forum.

 

The Education Forum for Asia will strive for the mutual recognition of educational qualifications and starting scholarships for Asian students and founding management schools in the region.

 

Meanwhile, more than 300 educational institutions from home and abroad, including more than 100 foreign institutions will join the educational exposition.

 

Topics of the university administrators' meeting involve the achievement and efficiency of universities, staff's performance, risk management and the academic innovation.

 

The Academy Beijing Forum was concentrated on promote social research in the Asia-Pacific regions with the theme of harmony and prosperity of the civilizations.
