Li Changchun, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said recently that to arm the whole Party and educate common people with the "Three Represents" theory is a long-term strategic task.
"The task should never be relaxed. Instead, it should be tightly integrated with the great practices of building an all-round well-off society and the 'go west' drive," said Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
He said that efforts should be made to deepen the studies of both the scientific concept of development and the "Three Represents" theory on Party building, which spells out that the Party represents the most advanced productivity and culture and the fundamental interests of overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.
According to Li, the establishment of the scientific concept of development should be set as a major part of the study and implementation of the "Three Represents" theory.
He also urged people to constantly deepen their understanding of the basis, contents and requirements of the theory.
